Eydith (“Eydie”) Kaufman is a Mediator and Civil Litigation trial attorney with medical malpractice and complex injury experience. Eydie is a Mediator on panel with Alternative Dispute Resolution in Los Angeles, and volunteers her time as a San Diego Superior Court Small Claims mediator and Community Mediator for the National Conflict Resolution Center in San Diego. She has worked as both a plaintiff and defense side attorney. She is also a musician who enjoys playing and attending gigs, hiking, and taking her pup to the beach.

In her years as a civil litigator, Eydie has handled a wide range of cases, including but not limited to: personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, professional liability, employment discrimination and harassment, arson, sexual molestation, insurance bad faith, commercial and business claims, contractual disputes, and property damage.

Eydie graduated with a Bachelors in Journalism from The George Washington University in Washington D.C. with honors, then obtained her law degree from USD with honors. She has been published in a San Francisco law journal with her article on genetic germ-line therapy, and was an editor for University of San Diego Law Review. Eydie now focuses primarily on mediations and medical malpractice.

Eydie taught Insurance Law as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of San Diego and has served as an Advisor and Guest Lecturer at PIMA Medical Institute. She received a commendation from the City of Carpinteria for assisting with its 50^th Anniversary; has been featured on NBC Nightly News Los Angeles in relation to the Dense Breast Notification Law; served as a panelist/speaker at the screening of the “What the F-@# is Cancer and Why Does Everybody Have It?” documentary at Plaza Playhouse, and appeared on radio as a Guest Attorney for the Ron Mohammed Show.
