While in law school, Rachel clerked in a variety of positions in the public interest ranging from Human Rights to Criminal Defense. Rachel was an editor for the San Diego International Law Journal, writing her own articles and advising the articles of other students. As a law clerk at the American Bar Association’s Center for Human Rights, Rachel aided in the publication of various articles concerning international law and human rights with thorough research, editing, and cite-checking. Most recently, at the San Diego Public Defender’s Office, Rachel worked on a variety of cases ranging from complex homicides to the intersection of criminal law and immigration.
Rachel attributes her desire to work in a service-capacity to her family of healthcare professionals. Rachel is passionate about representing healthcare workers and institutions so they can better serve their communities.
