Kirk Neiberger has focused the past 36 years of his practice exclusively within the medical malpractice litigation arena including the defense of hospitals and healthcare facilities, medical groups and numerous healthcare practitioners.
Mr. Neiberger’s experience covers all phases of medical malpractice claims through all aspects of litigation which include pre-litigation investigation through every phase of the litigated case from non-expert an expert discovery, mediation, trial, arbitration and appellate practice. Mr. Neiberger has also defended elder/dependent adult abuse and neglect claims as well as high exposure litigation. Mr. Neiberger is a member of the America Board of Trial Advocates having tried many medical malpractice cases to verdict. Mr. Neiberger is also well versed in mediation having completed the Pepperdine University School of Law/Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution, “Mediating the Litigated Case” and having previously served as Mediator for the Los Angeles County Superior Court ADR Program.
He received his Juris Doctor from the Western State University College of Law where he also served as an Executive Editor of the Western State University College of Law, Law Review. Prior to joining Dummit, Buchholz & Trapp, Mr. Neiberger worked at several well-respected medical malpractice defense firms in Southern California before moving up to the Sacramento area.
